Background and our Patron - Sir James Gobbo AC CVO QC
After many years of fundraising in Victoria, the Board of Directors of Lions House Foundation Inc in conjunction with the Austin Health refurbished a section of the Boronia Centre at the Heidelberg Repatriation Centre. The refurbished Section is known as “Lions House”.
The site has now been completely refurbished and we now have a magnificent 12 bedroom facility which was formally opened by the Governor of Victoria His Excellency Alex Chernov AC QC on the 23rd February 2014
It is with great sadness that the Trustees of the Lions House Foundation Inc. acknowledge the passing of Sir James Gobbo AC CVO QC. James (pictured) and Lady Gobbo have been Patrons of the Foundation for many years and have always been incredible supporters and advisors. We extend our deepest sympathy to Lady Gobbo and the Gobbo family at this time.
